Adair Pardi ’21: School of Dental Hygiene Studies Director’s Award

Adair Pardi ’21 received the Director’s Award from the Pacific University School of Dental Hygiene Studies. 

“Adair fully embodies the mission and vision of the School of Dental Hygiene studies,” professors said. “She demonstrates a strong commitment to patient-centered care, evidence-based practice, cultural awareness, community outreach, professional leadership and promoting access to care for underserved populations.”

Pardi also received the Sigma Phi Alpha National Dental Hygiene Honor Society Award, recognizing students who exemplify scholarship, professional accomplishment and exemplary service in the field of dental hygiene. Fellow students Jose Alcantara Ruiz ’21, Destyne Johnson ’21 and Bethany Rivera ’21 also received the award.

Pardi, of Salem, Ore., graduated from Pacific University in August 2021 with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene, or BSDH.

The School of Dental Hygiene Studies offers a two-year bachelor’s degree that prepares future dental hygienists with a particular focus on interprofessional care and public health service.
