Simonne Lighthouse ’21: Oregon Dental Hygienist Association Future Leader Award
Simonne Lighthouse ’21 received the Oregon Dental Hygienist Association (ODHA) Future Leader Award from the Pacific University School of Dental Hygiene Studies.
“Over the past year, she has led her classmates in virtual association meetings and served on the planning committee for the OHDA student conference,” professors wrote. “She shows great promise and I believe she will pursue leadership within the association in the future.”
Lighthouse, who is from Oroville, Calif., graduated from Pacific University in August 2021 with a bachelor of science in dental hygiene, or BSDH.
The School of Dental Hygiene Studies offers a two-year bachelor’s degree that prepares future dental hygienists with a particular focus on interprofessional care and public health service.
