In Memoriam: L. James Rochovitz '60, OD '61
L. James "Jim" Rochovitz '60, OD '61 died June 3, 2021 at age 85. Dr. Rochovitz pursued his optometry profession for 50 years after graduating from Pacific. He was employed with Duling Optical in Minneapolis, Minn. Rochovitz had a life-long curiosity and had an interest in many different areas. This included jet planes, antiques and history of all kinds. He was an avid reader and had a propensity to travel. He was a member of the Lions Club, was the Optometric Board of Minnesota state president and traveled to Mexico and Guatemala with Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity International.
Rochovitz was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Toivola; infant son, Rhett; grandson, Matthew; and his sister and brother-in-law. He is survived by his wife, Betty; daughters, Rhonda, Taylor, Rebecca and Radah; son, Bret; step-daughter, Sheila; step-son, Matt; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
