David Orzuna Perez PharmD '21: 2021 Community Pharmacy Excellence Award from the School of Pharmacy

David Orzuna Perez PharmD '21 received the 2021 Community Pharmacy Excellence Award from the Pacific University School of Pharmacy.

Perez’s personal experiences instilled in him a passion to provide accessible, high-quality care to under- and uninsured patient communities.

“We admire his feelings of personal responsibility to not only give back to his community but to do so in a manner that values a patient’s culture and beliefs,” said his nomination.

Perez, from Aloha, Ore., graduated in May 2021 with a doctor of pharmacy degree.

The Pacific University School of Pharmacy offers a three-year path to a doctor of pharmacy degree that prepares students to earn licensure to work in patient care. The school also offers a master of science in pharmaceutical sciences focused on research.
