Katie Morgan Wins Splendid Audacity Award

Katie Morgan has received the 2021 Splendid Audacity Award at Pacific University.

Morgan is a senior business analyst and project manager for University Information Systems, where she creates innovative solutions for new programs and system efficiencies. 

She was instrumental in helping the university with its platform upgrade for the student management system, the largest UIS project the university has undertaken in a decade. A project that typically takes 18 to 24 months was completed in six months and under budget.

At the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, she also single handedly created a process for students to choose a pass/no pass grade during the pivot to online courses and expanded academic options during a challenging time for students.

“Her diligent efforts, community spirit, innovation, and unconventional thinking have enhanced Pacific for years to come,” says one colleague.

The Splendid Audacity Award recognizes an employee who exemplifies the spirit of the Pacific community through the sharing of ideas and innovation.
