John Begert Named Associate Professor

John Begert has been promoted to associate professor in the Pacific University School of Pharmacy.

Begert joined the faculty in the School of Pharmacy in 2015 following two years of post-graduate training with the school in partnership with Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center, focusing on ambulatory care practice and academia. 

He is currently an ambulatory care pharmacist with Virginia Garcia with a primary focus on chronic disease state management. He teaches mainly in the second year of the program on the therapeutics of cardiovascular diseases and endocrine disorders, in addition to coordinating the ambulatory care-focused practice skills lab. 

He is a member of multiple local and national pharmacy organizations and serves as the faculty liaison for the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy student chapter.
