What Are You Reading?
Happy Read Across America Day from Pacific University!
Created in 1998 by the National Education Association to encourage children to read, Read Across America Day originally was linked to prolific children's author Dr. Seuss (Theodor Seuss Geisel) and falls near his birthday. In recent years, the celebration of reading has broadened beyond Dr. Seuss, with the NEA encouraging a more diverse reading list for children.
But Read Across America Day isn't just for children! If you're looking for your next great read, check out the Pacific University Alumni Association's Goodreads page to find a selection of books by Pacific alumni and faculty, as well as favorites from the Alumni Book Club!
