Eugene Campus Equity Diversity & Inclusion
Eugene Campus Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) Committee was formed in 2018 to support the Eugene Campus’s efforts to create a more welcoming community for all students, faculty, and staff in the education and social work programs. The EDI Committee was also established to help guide Pacific University Eugene campus’s ongoing efforts and evaluation on issues of equity, diversity, and inclusion, both in the classroom and outside. The larger mission and goal of the Eugene EDI derived from University’s mission from the Office of EDI.
Eugene Campus EDI Mission: “We stand against all forms of oppression and dehumanization of people. We work collectively to provide and promote an equitable and diverse environment for our community by actively engaging in hard conversations and necessary actions, especially between students, faculty, and staff.”
Eugene EDI’s vision: Our mission is aligned with the university EDI office’s mission and also integral to the social work & education professions' values and mission.
