Boxer Food Share Turns to Trick-or-Treat to Treat Food Insecurity
Among the many Halloween-themed events on campus this month, Pacific University students will go door to door in Forest Grove on Halloween to collect non-perishable food to combat food insecurity.
On Oct. 31 from 6 to 7 p.m., they'll be "trick or treating" in Forest Grove between A Street and Douglas Street, and 16th Avenue to 18th Avenue.
The event is being coordinated by Pacific's Center for Sustainable Society, which operates Boxer Food Share, a free food source for members of the Pacific community. The center also hosts food giveaways for Washington County residents.
If you live outside the trick or treat areas and would like to donate, please bring non-perishable foods to the Boxer Food Share in Pacific Hall, Room 216.
