Symposium
Symposium title: An in-depth look at psychological flexibility using the CompACT
Symposium blurb: Using quantitative and qualitative methods, studies explored in this symposium examine psychological flexibility as measured by the Comprehensive assessment of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy processes (CompACT) and Acceptance and Action Questionnaire (AAQ-II). Presentations in this symposium will (1) evaluate the results of a confirmatory factor analysis yielding a three-factor structure of the CompACT, (2) assess the predictive validity of the CompACT and the Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire on stress, anxiety, and depression, (3) examine the fidelity of the CompACT and the AAQ-II in the measurement of ACT targets using cognitive interviewing, and (4) present the development and validation of an abbreviated eight-item short form of the CompACT.
