Mike joined the Pacific University Marketing & Communications team in 2018 after working as a journalist at various outlets, including the (Bend) Bulletin, the Kansas City Star, KINK-FM and The Business Journal of Portland. He spent more than 20 years at The Oregonian in Portland, where his work included three stints as an embedded reporter in Iraq.
As an associate director of communications for Pacific University, he is the lead writer for Pacific magazine and the pacificu.edu website.
