In Memory: Bevin McCarthy

Bevin McCarthy died Aug. 13, 2018, at age 43, after an abrupt illness. She was the assistant director of Pacific’s Center for Civic Engagement and facilitated civic engagement courses at the University from 2013 to 2018. She also served as interim director of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion and was a part of the Social Justice Retreat planning committee. She was passionate about connecting people through service. A memorial and celebration of life for her was held on Sept. 13 at the University, where students and faculty shared stories about her impact on the Pacific community. She is survived by her husband, Nic; and sons, Felix and Jasper.
