Dr. Kevin Chui contributed to three chapters in the 9th edition of Health Promotion Throughout the Life Span, a leading textbook on health promotion and disease prevention in healthcare education curriculum. Often used by nursing programs, it is among the best sellers in the “Nursing Home & Community Health” medical book category.
This comprehensive textbook is organized into five parts: 1) Foundations of Health Promotion, 2) Assessment for Health Promotion, 3) Interventions for Health Promotion, 4) Application of Health Promotion, and 5) Emerging Global Health Issues. Key features of the newest edition of this evidence-based textbook include an increased focus on genomics, diversity awareness, and innovative practice. In addition, each chapter ends with a case study and care plan as practical resources for clinicians. For this project, Dr. Chui was the first author of two chapters and the senior author of a third chapter. Coauthors included physical therapy and nurse faculty and clinical specialists from across the country.
