Memorial for Bevin McCarthy Set for Thursday, Sept. 13 at Forest Grove Campus

A memorial and celebration of life for Bevin McCarthy will be held on the UC Patio of the Forest Grove Campus on Thursday, Sept. 13 from 3 to 5 p.m.

This will be an opportunity to hear and share stories about Bevin and her impact on Pacific's community.

Following the memorial, there will be an informal reception and dance party to honor the fun that Bevin brought to all she did. At sunset, Trombley Square will be lit in Bevin’s memory just as her spirit brightened everyone she met. All university community members are welcome to attend.

Bevin, who served as assistant director of the Center for Civic Engagement at Pacific, passed away Aug. 13 after an abrupt illness.

In this time of sorrow, we remind Pacific faculty and staff that support is available through the Employee Assistance Program at Cascade Centers. Students also are invited to reach out to the Student Counseling Center or to University Chaplain Rev. Dr. Chuck Currie for assistance.
