Pharmacy Students Get Nod in Drug Information Competition
The School of Pharmacy made its inaugural foray into the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy P&T Competition with eight students, comprising two teams, participating in a the local level competition.
Teams worked through a case study involving a drug product dossier and presenting their formulary recommendations to a panel of judges. One of our teams — Dave Lindqvist ’20, Jane Peralta ’19, Burhanuddin Shabbir ’20, and Max Lee ’20 — won the local competition, and their formulary review has been submitted to compete in the national competition, where eight teams from a total of 60 will be selected as finalists.
Congratulations to our student participants, and thanks to volunteer judges from Pacific: Pacific Assistant Professor John Begert, Moda Health Clinical Pharmacist Kate Ramsey and Kaiser Permanente Drug Education Coordinator Thomas Lee.
