Alumna Dr. Amy Pakula selected as an APTA Emerging Leader
Each year the American Physical Therapy Association recognizes Emerging Leaders and features the honorees in their October issues of PT in Motion.
In 2017 Dr. Amy Pakula, PT, DPT (’08) was nominated by the Montana Chapter and selected as an Emerging Leader. Dr. Pakula is currently a member of the Montana Physical Therapy Association - Executive Committee where she serves as member of the Legislative Committee. Her numerous past roles and responsibilities for the Montana Physical Therapy Association include: Secretary for Executive Board Member, Chair of the Social Media Committee, Member of the Licensure Compact Rulemaking Committee, and Liaison for the Montana Board of Physical Therapy Examiners.
Soon after graduating from Pacific University, Dr. Pakula finished advanced training through the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship and is recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists. She is also recognized by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties as an Orthopedic Certified Specialist.
Dr. Pakula works in the outpatient orthopedic setting at Momentum Physical Therapy in Bozeman, MT. She has taught continuing education courses to physical therapists internationally through Health Volunteers Overseas and is a regular presenter at national conferences. She also serves as a consultant to the Kaiser Permanente Northern California Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Fellowship program.
