Amy Tracewell, an alumna of Pacific University’s Master of Nonprofit Leadership (MNL) program, was appointed director of the program in January 2024. With over 20 years of experience in nonprofit leadership and communications, Tracewell brings a wealth of expertise and passion for community-driven work to her role.

Before assuming her current position, Tracewell spent seven years with Pacific University’s advancement team, serving as a major gifts officer and specializing in corporate and foundation relations. Prior to her tenure at Pacific, she was the director of communications and advancement for the Nonprofit Association of Oregon and also led PeaceHealth's Cottage Grove Community Hospital Foundation as executive director, where she developed a successful community-based fundraising model.

Tracewell’s extensive experience in communications and nonprofit management has earned her multiple accolades, including the prestigious Ford Family Foundation Community Fellowship Award. She is also a senior fellow of the American Leadership Forum of Oregon and has participated in leadership programs through the Ford Foundation and the Association for Healthcare Philanthropy’s Madison Institute.

A dedicated community leader, Tracewell served as the 2023-24 president of the Rotary Club of Forest Grove and is a past president of the Rotary Club of Cottage Grove. She is also an executive committee member and past president of Rural Development Initiatives, a nonprofit focused on economic development in rural communities. Additionally, she has served on the Hillsboro Schools Foundation and the City of Forest Grove’s Public Arts Commission.

Tracewell holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from Oregon State University, awarded in 1996.
