Stokamer Honored by the IARSLCE

Stephanie Stokamer, director of the Pacific University Center for Civic Engagement has received the Early Career Recognition award from the International Association for Research on Service-Learning and Community Engagement (IARSLCE).

The IARSLCE is an international nonprofit organization launched in 2005 that is dedicated to promoting research and discussion about service learning and community engagement. 

Stokamer said she was honored to be recognized once again for her work by the IARSLCE. In 2011, she received the IARSLCE Dissertation Research award for her work, "Pedagogical Catalysts of Civic Competence: The Development of a Critical Epistemological Model for Community-Based Learning."
