Pacific University College of Optometry alumna Hilary Hawthorne OD '92 recently shared insight about the optometric profession to The Atlantic magazine.

Dr. Hawthorne practices at Community Eye Center Optometry in Los Angeles and has maintained certification as a Diplomate of the American Board of Optometry since 2011. She discussed why she chose optometry, how she serves her community, and why the job continues to fulfill her, to The Atlantic associate editor Bourree Lam.
