In the News: Professional Psychology's Police Training Mindfulness Study Highlighted by Huffington Post and CNN
A new study by Pacific University School of Professional Psychology faculty is the subject of a Huffington Post story, Mindfulness Reduces Stress and Anger in Police, and a report by CNN's Fareed Zakaria.
The study, "Changes in Facets of Mindfulness Predict Stress and Anger Outcomes for Police Officers," is the work of Drs. Michael Christopher and Sarah Bowen, and clinical psychology student and research assistant Aaron Bergman, and appears in the Aug. 2016 edition of the journal Mindfulness.
The study is funded in part by a National Institutes of Health grant Christopher received last year.
