Pacific University Lauded by U.S. News & World Report
Pacific University remains among the top universities in the west, according to U.S. News & World Report's 2016 Best Colleges rankings released today.
For the second consecutive year, Pacific is tied for 25th in the West Region out of 118 institutions across 15 states, including California and Texas.
For its rankings, U.S. News uses the Carnegie classification system in designating a university or college in one of the following categories: National Universities, Liberal Arts Colleges, Regional Universities and Regional Colleges.
U.S. News ranks regional universities by geographical quadrant (North, South, East, West) and defines them as institutions that "offer a broad scope of undergraduate degrees and some master's degree programs but few, if any, doctoral programs."
