2014-2015 Pacific University Writing Contest Award Winners Announced
Pacific University's English Literature Department has announced the winners of the university's 2014-2015 writing contest. Open to all undergraduate students, the contest consists of creative and critical writing in several categories, including works of fiction, creative nonfiction, poetry, literary scholarship and college writing. First prize writers in each category win a monetary prize and their works are published in PLUM, Pacific's Literature by Undergraduates Magazine.
Pacific University's Writing Award was established in 2007 with a grant from the Office of the President, under the guidance of Phil Creighton, to acknowledge the quality of writing produced by creative writing and literature students in the university's College of Arts & Sciences.

1st Prize: $200. Kayla Cardeiro: "Wings"

Creative Nonfiction

Poetry

Award in College Writing
(Bestowed for the quality of academic writing produced by Pacific students studying in First Year Seminar or English Writing 201, 202, or 203. This award recognizes the writing of students early in their education at Pacific)
