Pacific University Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Chapter
The mission of the Pacific University SAA Chapter parallels the mission of the national Student Academy of Audiology: To serve as a collective voice for students and advance rights, interests, and welfare of students pursuing careers in audiology.
In addition to serving as a collective voice for audiology students here in Oregon, we engage students in lifelong learning activities that promote and advance the profession of audiology, and provide services, information, education, representation, and advocacy for the profession and those individuals that can benefit from our services.
Benefits in joining the SAA
- Subscriptions to the Journal of the American Academy of Audiology (JAAA), the Academy's research journal, and Audiology Today (AT), the Academy's bi-monthly magazine, a magazine entirely about audiology!
- Students rates for conferences (including AudiologyNOW!, the Academy's annual convention held in various locations all over the USA) and the Academy's eAudiology Web Seminars (lecture series that covers any and everything audiology).
- Access to a myriad of resources that not only assist current Doctor of Audiology students but, also, provides access to HearCareers, which can assist students with job placement following graduation.
The Student Academy of Audiology (SAA) Chapter here at Pacific University just won the Chapter Challenge Award for diversity and Inclusion. See full story here.
It is wonderful to be a part of outreach in the community and show others what audiology is all about!
