All Pacific University alumni educators and current students who plan to pursue careers in education along with current and former faculty, are invited to gather for a casual evening on the Forest Grove Campus.
Our guest speaker will be Dr. Andy Saultz, interim dean of the College of Education and a national expert on educational policy. He will share highlights from his recent trip to Washington, D.C., where he was invited by U.S. Representative Jamaal Bowman, vice-chair of the House Committee of Education and Labor, to take part in a joint briefing with other national educational leaders. The focus of his research is how the federal government can create policies to build more equitable schools.
Guests will enjoy a spread of heavy appetizers and drinks along with a dose of inspiration designed to propel teachers and other educators through the second half of the academic year and build excitement for students just beginning their careers.
Admission to the Educators' Reception is free, but advance registration is required.
