As the semester trundles on toward finals week, Outdoor Pursuits wants to remind the Pacific community to take breaks and utilize opportunities to get outside and get moving! There are plenty of ways students can do this including renting gear from Outdoor Pursuits for a long weekend, borrowing a free cruiser bike to ride around town, or even simply taking a walk outside!

The Human Resources team has partnered with Greater Than to collect new and used winter coats for K-6th grade students at Lincoln Street Elementary. There will be a collection bin at the HR office for drop off from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Donations must be dropped off by Monday, Nov. 29.

The Office of International Programs is preparing to send students abroad in the fall of 2022 or spring of 2023, and winter or summer 2022. Students need to make an appointment to review the internal application, which has a deadline of Feb.10, 2022. The Pacific Undergraduate Research Conference is returning to an in-person format this fall on Nov. 10. For many presenters, these research projects will become the basis of their senior capstone project. Pacific is the No. 1 private research university in the Pacific Northwest, and as such, has a reputation for mentoring its undergraduate students especially in the areas of scientific and creative research.
