Alumna Nicolle Brossard '09 majored in psychology at Pacific University and served in Afghanistan following time as a mental health specialist at Fort Hood, Texas. Brossard provided combat and operational stress control services on the first Army combat stress team in Afghanistan.
Rachelle Mejia teaches preschool in the Early Learning Community at Pacific University. She graduated from the Pacific University Master of Arts in Teaching Flex Program in 2007.

Gene McIntyre ’60 earned a M.A. in history from the University of Oregon in 1965, followed by a Ph.D. in education from UO in 1969. He retired in 1999 after a career as a teacher, associate professor, staff development specialist and administrator for Oregon colleges, public schools and the State of Oregon. He writes a regular blog for the Salem Statesman Journal and lives in Keizer, Ore.
