Willow Hagan OT ’21: School of Occupational Therapy Director’s Award
Willow Hagan OT ’21 received the Director’s Award from the Pacific University School of Occupational Therapy.
“Willow developed a very strong capstone project that includes a pilot research project which truly embodies becoming an integrated practice scholar,” her professors wrote. “She is always very professional, goal oriented, and a joy to work with as she uses scientific evidence and reasoning, which is balanced by a true understanding of the humanistic aspects of occupational therapy practice.”
Hagan, who is from Longmont, Colo., graduated from Pacific University in August 2021 with a doctor of occupational therapy degree.
The School of Occupational Therapy offers a three-year professional, entry-level doctoral program that prepares students for national board certification as an occupational therapist. OTs are healthcare professionals who work with clients to facilitate their ability to engage in occupations — professional, personal or recreational — that give meaning to their lives.
