University of Portland Hires Tom Batsell '95, MAT '01 as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach

Tom Batsell '95, MAT '01, has joined the University of Portland as assistant women's basketball coach. He joins head coach Michael Meek, with whom he coached at George Fox University. George Fox's women's basketball team reached the NCAA Division III championship game in 2012 and 2015.

Batsell was also an assistant coach with Meek at Southridge High School (Beaverton, Ore.) prior to their stint at George Fox. Previously, he was an assistant coach at Westview High School (Hillsboro, Ore.,) and an assistant coach at Glencoe High School (Hillsboro).
