Two Pacific Students Awarded $3,000 Oregon NASA Scholarships

lunar surfacePacific University junior Tiare Guerrero and Morgan Kerr-Staudinger, who's working toward her master's degree in teaching, each were awarded $3,000 scholarships by the Oregon NASA Space Grant Consortium. The awards were part of a NASA program to promote education in science, technology, engineering, mathematics (STEM) and other disciplines that produce future NASA employees.

Kerr-Staudinger is focused on teaching STEM/ESOL. Guerrero is majoring in physics and mathematics.

Pacific physics assistant professor Todd Duncan also was awarded an Oregon NASA grant for an orbital modeling project.
