Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center Recognized as a Top Facility

Home to Pacific University’s Music Department, the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center opened in 1993 and features a sparkling 400-seat McCready Hall performance venue, the Burlingham Rehearsal Room, a piano lab and nine practice rooms.
McCready Hall annually showcases the Music Department's various ensembles, including the Chamber Singers, Symphonic Band and Philharmonic orchestra, as well as the university's annual Performing Arts Series featuring renowned musicians and actors. Additionally, a number of internationally known scholars and authors have presented lectures in the hall.
Recent special guests who have spoken or performed in the Taylor-Meade Performing Arts Center include actor Ed Asner, Olympian John Carlos, the Vienna Boys Choir, singer songwriter John Sebastian, journalists Dave Zirin (The Nation) and Eric Schlosser (Fast Food Nation), columnist Dan Savage and AIDS Quilt founder Cleve Jones.
