Submit Summer Student Employee Information by June 28
Supervisors who would like to continue employing current summer student employees on or after July 1, 2021, must submit student employee information to student payroll by 5 p.m. PST, Monday, June 28. Student jobs that are not included as summer positions by June 28 will be removed from Paycom.
Supervisors are asked to keep the following in mind:
All undergraduate students must be employed as Non Work-Study employees. Undergraduate student Work-Study allocations do not begin until the start of the fall semester.
Graduate students who are allocated Federal Work-Study funds may be employed as Federal Work-Study employees. Graduate students may also be employed as Non Work-Study employees.
Supervisors should also be aware that due to fiscal year end data collection needs, student employees who work on or after July 1 will not have access to their Paycom time cards until July 5. Students may work between July 1 and July 5, document the hours in a reliable manner with supervisor approval and manually input the documented hours as punch change requests after time card access is granted on July 5.
Please note that the new minimum wage rate on July 1, 2021 is $14.00.
Supervisors who would like to employ summer student employees on or after July 1, 2021 should submit their employee information on the Student Summer Employee submission form by 5 p.m. Monday, June 28. Only student employees that are submitted through the form will be documented for continued summer employment on July 1.
