Sarah Brown Cowan MAT ’04 Featured by KATU “Leaders in Learning” series

Sarah Brown Cowan MAT ’04 was featured by KATU “Leaders in Learning,” a series that recognizes exceptional teachers. She has taught at North Salem (Ore.) High School for 15 years and undertook a new role this past year in the school's pilot program that helps at-risk students graduate on time. The goal of the program was to increase the graduation rate by 10 percent in four years and it was achieved in just one. She now has 23 freshmen under her wing.
