Sara Huffman PharmD '21: 2021 Excellence in Advocacy Award from the School of Pharmacy
Sara Huffman PharmD '21 received a 2021 Excellence in Advocacy Award from the Pacific University School of Pharmacy.
The award recognizes a graduating student that has shown leadership and commitment to the advancement of pharmacy and other health care issues.
“She is passionate about mental health and we are positive that she will provide an exceptional level of care and support to patients with psychiatric needs,” her nomination said.
Huffman worked as a pharmacy intern at Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Care and Foundation during her time at Pacific and was also a recipient of the High-School Pharmacy Scholarship.
The Pacific University School of Pharmacy offers a three-year path to a doctor of pharmacy degree that prepares students to earn licensure to work in patient care. The school also offers a master of science in pharmaceutical sciences focused on research.
