Reproductive Healthcare Education in a Post-Roe Nation
Pacific's Reproductive Justice Action Team (RJAT) is proud to present Reproductive Healthcare Training in a Post-Roe Nation. Pamela Merritt, executive director of Medical Students for Choice, will share an overview about how the overturning of Roe v. Wade has impacted OB-GYN and reproductive healthcare education and training at medical schools. Join us at 4:45 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, in the Tran Library Conference Room.
Medical Students for Choice has filled a unique niche in the abortion rights movement. They work to ensure that medical students and trainees are educated about all aspects of reproductive health care, including abortion. Merritt has done extensive work for reproductive justice and is providing us with knowledge to understand our current climate regarding reproductive healthcare and abortion access.
A goal of RJAT is to provide information to pre-med students about what to look out for when applying to medical schools and how to best navigate current circumstances in order to obtain quality OB-GYN and reproductive healthcare education and training. The group also hopes public-health students will be better informed on how post-roe policies have impacted medical education.
This is event is open to all students, staff and faculty.
