Put Petal to the Metal this Spring with Outdoor Pursuits!

Enjoy a night of indoor rock climbing at a rock gym in Portland Thursday, April 7 or Saturday, May 7! If daunting, dirty boulders are maybe not your thing, join Outdoor Pursuits for a night of indoor adventuring instead! This evening excursion will be warmer, dryer, and just as fun as a day out on the rocks. Register now for April 7 or May 7

On Thursday, April 7 at 11:45 a.m., stop by the Outdoor Pursuits office in the Milky Way to learn more about the short-term study abroad course in Chilean Patagonia! The prep-course Introduction to Expedition Planning (OL-110) and the actual Patagonia International Expedition (OL-310) will take place fall 2022 and January 2023. These courses are offered within the Outdoor Leadership major, but are available and open to all students!

In the Wilderness First Aid Certification course, learn how to apply first aid and CPR skills in the backcountry. Participants will gain first-hand experience in responding to medical, environmental, and traumatic emergencies in the outdoors while also earning a CPR certification. The course runs all day from May 18 to May 19, so be sure to register in advance to reserve your space!

Do you enjoy paddling through calm, serene waters? Then the Stand-Up Paddleboard (SUP) Day trip on Saturday, April 9, may be perfect for you!
