Professor Mike Steele Releases New Football Encyclopedia

Michael SteeleNo college is more intensely tied to the development of intercollegiate football than the University of Notre Dame. The Notre Dame football program has the best winning percentage and has produced more All-Americans than any other school in the country.

The Notre Dame Football Encyclopedia captures the mystique of the Golden Dome, as well as the fierce loyalty that countless Notre Dame fans hold for this special place and its proud football tradition.

This newly revised edition is a compendium that spans the careers of more than 2,000 players. Fans will sit at the 50-yard line and witness more than a century of football, including all the glorious victories, heroic comebacks and agonizing defeats.

The author, Professor Michael Steele, is a 1967 graduate of Notre Dame and teaches English literature and writing for Pacific University.

Steele will appear at the Pacific University Bookstore on Nov. 7 to talk about his new book as part of Forest Grove's First Wednesday event. Join us from 6 to 7:30 p.m. to discuss football, his encyclopedia, and more football! Refreshments will be served. Don't miss out on this great opportunity to meet and chat with Professor Steele!
