Professor Anil Oommen Quoted in Washington Post Commentary

Professor Anil Oommen, Assistant Professor of Education and interim Director of the School of Learning and Teaching at the Eugene Campus, was quoted in a recent Washington Post Commentary on the importance of comprehensive sexual health education in elementary schools. Professor Oommen implemented the Our Whole Lives curriculum as an elementary school teacher and is now an Our Whole Lives trainer, working with schools to implement the curriculum. Lillian Mongeau, the Washington Post journalist, writes of Professor Oommen, "Oommen believes in the power of teaching that sexuality is just another part of what makes us human, like curiosity and creativity."
