Pharmacy Experiential Spotlight - Spring 2022

It has been one year since the School of Pharmacy switched our experiential learning management system to CORE! We hope that active preceptors are enjoying the new system and are finding it intuitive to use. We want to highlight some important features of the system.

Free preceptor development CE through CEImpact

As an active preceptor you may log in to the CORE ELMS system to access CEImpact. CEImpact is located under the External Resources tab on the left-hand menu bar, there is a link titled CEImpact. Here you will find free preceptor development CE and other resources for precepting. Once you enter the NABP e-profile ID link IP, a link will appear that says "go to CEImpact site." Click this and you will be directed to the main screen on CEImpact. The preceptor development CE is free and ACPE accredited. There are also journal clubs under preceptor development that interest many of our preceptors and can be a helpful teaching tool for your own journal clubs that you might assign on your rotation.

CORE Readiness

In the top upper right corner of the CORE-ELMS homepage is a link to READINESS. This is a program designed for students and preceptors. Students have access to short videos to help them prepare for rotations, including drug specific reviews and other professionalism topics. Preceptors also have access to this material and may “assign” videos for a student as pre-work for their rotation or as something they want them to watch on the first day. NOTE: The first time you log in to Readiness from the CORE homepage it will ask you a question “Do you already have an account?” Please click no to navigate to the main home screen.

Upcoming Events through the PUSOP Experiential Office

Spring Semester Preceptor Townhall
Jan. 9, 2023, noon to 1 p.m.
