Pharmacy Associate Professor Ben Chavez Researches Effectiveness of Drug that Treats Gout

Pacific University School of Pharmacy associate professor Ben Chavez has co-authored research titled “Febuxostat for the treatment of gout” that appears in the Feb. 2015 edition of Informa Healthcare's Expert Opinion on Pharmacotherapy. The research supports Febuxostat as an effective alternative for patients who are intolerant of a therapy known as allopurinol.
