Patchwork Galaxy Exhibition Comes to the Cawein Gallery
What does it mean to be human in the universe?
The Cawein Gallery will host a project consisting of an installation and series of talks that dig into that question. In “Patchwork Galaxy”, the painter, Kendra Larson and musician, Christopher Buckingham explore symbolism, light, and the universe. They bring mysterious night skies, fireworks, and the magic of stars into the gallery to create an uncanny experience.
This multimedia installation combines paintings, linen panels hanging from the ceiling, LED’s installed throughout, two projections of fireworks, and a soundscape of guitars and piano. This painterly environment evokes wonder, questions nature, and champions the Sublime. An artist talk will accompany the project. Cosmologist Todd Duncan PhD will also contribute with a talk about the cosmos and wonderment.
