Pacific Welcomes AmeriCorps*VISTA Coordinator Majestik De Luz '23
The College of Arts & Sciences welcomes Majestik De Luz '23 as the new AmeriCorps*VISTA Academic Success & Engagement Coordinator.
De Luz has been selected for this one-year position focused on academic engagement and success. She is a psychology and philosophy double major with specific interests in metaphysics, death and dying, and ethics.
In addition to the VISTA position, she works as a writing tutor, research and teaching assistant in Admissions and as the Undergraduate Student Representative on the Board of Trustees.
Growing up in Seaside Ore., she loves the ocean, and also enjoys tarot cards, painting and pastels, coloring and spending time with her 4-year-old rescue pit bull, Zofia.
De Luz is really excited to assume this position and do whatever she can to help all the students on campus feel heard, supported and safe. She will work across areas that support undergraduate students with Admissions to fold in our recruitment efforts, and with community partners who work with local youth. She will be housed in the Tom McCall Center for Civic Engagement and will work with current AmeriCorps*VISTA member Emma Adams while she wraps up her year of service.
