Pacific University Celebrates Female Athletes with Sports Clinic
Pacific University is proud to participate in the 34th annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day. This celebration inspires girls and women to stay active to help reach their full potential.
Girls ages 5-14 are invited to join a free sports clinic at 1 p.m. Feb. 9 at the Stoller Center on the Forest Grove Campus. Participants will spend the afternoon learning basic skills in lacrosse, volleyball, tennis and other sports from Boxer female student-athletes.
After the sports clinic, the girls and their parents/guardians will learn about how to use positive self-talk and mental imagery as a way to boost confidence in athletics and life.
The event is free, and no pre-registration is required. Join us for a wonderful afternoon of sport and community-building!
National Girls and Women in Sports Day recognizes the contributions of female athletes, coaches and leaders, as well as the importance of gender equity for women in sports. It promotes the role sports play in building confidence, strength and character in female athletes in order to become strong leaders.
