Pacific Named Among Best in the West

The Princeton Review has named Pacific University among the best colleges in the West.

The education services company lists Pacific in the Best in the West section of its “2021 Best Colleges: Region by Region” report, released Aug. 18, 2020. Less than a quarter of all U.S. colleges and universities make the list.

Pacific’s region includes 127 colleges in 15 states, selected based on data from The Princeton Review’s survey of college administrators, visits to the schools, and opinions of college counselors and advisors. It also bases the ranking on the reports from current college students.

The Princeton Review asks students to rate their colleges on dozens of issues and to answer the questions about themselves, their fellow students, and their campus life.

Student comments about Pacific call out the university’s science programs and “approachable, flexible” full time faculty as “the number one strength of Pacific, hands down.”

“I’ve had nothing but positive experiences with my professors,” wrote one biology major cited on The Princeton Review site. “For students who are committed and really want to learn, professors will bend over backwards to help them.”
