Pacific Celebrates August Commencement

Pacific University hosts its August Commencement ceremony on Saturday, Aug. 14, on the Forest Grove Campus.

The ceremony celebrates the graduation of nearly 350 graduate and professional students earning bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in the schools of Audiology, Dental Hygiene Studies, Graduate Psychology, Healthcare Administration & Leadership, Occupational Therapy, and Physician Assistant Studies, as well as Pacific’s cross-college PhD in Education & Leadership program.

The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. on the Marsh Hall East Lawn. Tickets are free but required for all guests. A brief reception will follow on the West Lawn. Family and friends also can watch the ceremony live on YouTube with or without captions.

Prior to Saturday’s celebration, several schools also will host pre-commencement celebrations for graduates.

This week, Pacific updated its COVID-19 protocols, and all indoor activities on campus will require face masks. Face masks are strongly encouraged, particularly for unvaccinated individuals and those at higher risk, at the outdoor ceremony Saturday.
