Pacific To Be Recognized at National Lavender Graduation

Pacific University is among 18 colleges and universities nationally being spotlighted by Campus Pride and PFLAG National at this year’s Lavender Graduation ceremony on June 5.

Lavender Graduation is a virtual event celebrating the achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer (LGBTQ) college students and to demonstrate a community of support for these students as they move into the next chapter of their lives.

At the national Lavender Graduation, faculty, administrators and alumni from each of the 18 represented colleges will offer inspiring words to the Class of 2021, and student representatives will reflect on their campus experience.

Pacific held its own virtual Lavender Graduation for May 2021 graduates on May 13.

The national ceremony takes place at noon PDT Saturday, June 5 and will be available to watch at campuspride.org/2021 and on Campus Pride and PFLAG National’s social media feeds.
