Oregon Primary Election Ballots Arriving Soon
Oregon's Primary Election will take place on May 21, 2024. This election sets up November 2024: Voters will decide what ballot measures get the green light and which candidates will go head-to-head in that election. In addition to presidential candidates, Oregon's congressional districts, secretary of state, state treasurer, attorney general, state senate, state supreme court and local races of interest, like Multnomah County district attorney, will also be on the ballot.
If you are an Oregon voter, you should expect:
- Your ballot will be mailed to you between May 1 and May 7.
- Nonpartisan organizations like BallotReady and Vote 411 can help you find details about what's on your ballot, compare candidates, and make a plan to vote. You can also look to your official voter pamphlet, which is already being delivered to mailboxes and can be found online here.
- Once you've completed your ballot, it needs to be returned by May 21. You can return it via mail (during open hours, no stamp needed) or in a ballot drop box (until 8pm).
- You can track your ballot at Oregon's MyVote.
If you are not currently registered in Oregon, you will not be able to vote in this election. However, now is a great time to update your registration so you're ready for the big November election. Learn everything you need to know about doing this at pacificu.edu/PacificVotes.
