New Online Work Files Policy
Pacific has published a new policy about appropriate digital storage of administrative work files. Following our long-held best practices, the policy formally reinforces the expectation that digital documents created for work purposes be stored in department-owned folders in Box — not in individually owned Box folders or other cloud storage systems.
The policy is specific to non-academic/non-research files, and it goes into effect in October, providing time for employees to update their organizational systems as needed.
By storing your work in shared department files, you ensure continuity of the important work you do and enhance opportunities for collaboration that advances the university’s goals of serving students and patients in a safe, sustainable and efficient manner.
