Music Department Presents Oregon Symphonic Band in Veterans Day Concert
Pacific University's Music Department will sponsor a Veterans Day concert by the award-winning Oregon Symphonic Band at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, in McCready Hall.
The program honors veterans who served from the American Revolution to the present day, including God Bless America, America the Beautiful, Concord, American Salute, marches by John Philip Sousa, and much more.
Tickets are available at oregonsymphonicband.com.
Veterans will receive reduced admission, and students will be admitted free.
The Oregon Symphonic Band was originally formed in 1986 to allow local professional and expert amateur musicians (music teachers and band directors), to play challenging wind ensemble music. The award-winning volunteer band is comprised of 65 brass, woodwind and percussion musicians.
