Montana Rae Leialoha Keaunui Vaught ’21 was named a Pacific University Outstanding Senior in Kinesiology. She graduated in May with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science with an integrative physiology emphasis. She is from Wailuku, Hawai’i.
Vaught has been a four-year member and leader of the Pacific softball team and has contributed to the Kinesiology Department as a teaching assistant for multiple courses.
In selecting her for the award, her professors said, “Montana insightfully applied the techniques and knowledge gained during her studies in the design and execution of her senior capstone which investigated the optimum practice schedule for sports vision training with softball players.”
Two of her classmates, Braden Kojima '21 and Savannah Grosse '21, also were named Outstanding Seniors in Kinesiology.
