Michelle Lee MS, OD '21: Pacific's Outstanding Graduate in the College of Optometry
Michelle Lee MS, OD '21 is the Pacific University Alumni Association 2021 Outstanding Graduate in the College of Optometry. She also has received the college’s Brian Lee Hill Memorial Award.
Lee graduated in May 2021 with both a master of science in vision science and a doctorate in optometry.
The Brian Lee Hill Memorial Award was established in memory of Brian Lee Hill OD ’95. It is bestowed on a graduating optometry student who peers select as the person who brings the class together through friendship and leadership and who best embodies Hill’s qualities of inspiration.
Lee is one of seven 2021 graduates to receive an Alumni Association Outstanding Graduate Award. Other awardees included Maile Altier PT '21, Jen Bass '21, Fernando Lira '21, Rae Palmer SLP '21, Alexis Reynoso MSAT '21, and Madalyn Seidl PharmD '21.
Lee, who is from California, will go on to a residency with the Portland, Ore., VA Healthcare System.
The College of Optometry provides a foundation in basic and clinical sciences, as well as significant hands-on experience in serving diverse populations of patients. Students also are involved in outreach locally and around the world, as they prepare to serve patients anywhere their careers take them. The college offers bachelor’s, master’s and PhD programs in vision science, as well as a doctor of optometry degree.
